About

There is nothing to know about me – at least nothing that sets me apart from any other adopted, twelve toed social activist and embarrassingly enthusiastic mother who can’t spell to save her life…I accidentally mis-spelled my own child’s name on her birth certificate.

There is no policeman monitoring or editing my thoughts – and I feel compelled to write everything down and share it with the world. Even as a child I would invite my friends to write commentaries in my diaries.  So – be warned that I write like I speak : a lot, fast, and often on completely unrelated topics.

I am really interested in people – how they live, what they think, and the ways they make the world meet their needs – or income cases struggle to survive. You can find all of that on my other blog : Homelessinla.wordpress.com.

This blog is more about how I see the world and occasionally about what it is like to be fat and try to lose weight. Like I said – staying on topic is a problem for me—-squirrel !

I have never had a crisis of faith and I decided my purpose in life at the age of seven. You could call me head-strong and you would be correct.

you can write to me at homelessinla@gmail.com, follow me on Twitter at sonyakeith and find me on Facebook the same way.

  1. I love your site. Keep it up !

  2. I have been following your blog for awhile now. I identify with you on so many levels. I have lost over 70 pounds in the past year and half – but I lost it through a liquid diet and exercise. (I’m not at my goal yet – darn it!) I too, am a single mother trying to instill good values into my teen. I have spent many weekends making meals and taking them downtown to the homeless. There’s not a better feeling in the world then helping someone who truly needs help. I find your blog not only entertaining, but very real. I wish you and your daughter the best.

  3. Hi BEth, THANK YOU! That absolutely made my day. LEt me know how your diet is going. (I had pizza today – bad sonya!)

  5. hey Jonathan! 6 to 8 weeks, your surgeon will tell you. you need to wait for your external wounds to heal completely – remeber that your insides heal more slowly before you swim. I will try to go. I hope this has helped! 🙂 – Sonya
